Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition Irish Whisky, vol. 40%, 70cl

This Jameson brand whiskey is made in the Midleton Distillery in Ireland. It gets its finish in ex Sout beer barrels, whereby the manufacturers repeatedly rely on the high-quality barrels from the Cork-based Franciscan Well brewery. The Caskmates matured in barrels in which the brewery's strong beer was previously stored.

The Irish whiskey convinces with its wonderfully complex nature with a typical, sweet character of Irish whiskey. There are also delicious beer notes. Impressions of hops, cocoa beans, some marzipan and burnt oak wood are convincing on the palate.

The finish is long-lasting and particularly sweet.
