In 1827, nineteen-year-old George Ballantine founded his business. His maxim "Stay true and excellence will always be by your side" was clear from the beginning and has been the chore credo of the company ever since.
Together with his sons George II, Archibald, Daniel and his grandson George III. he grew the business steadily and acquired an excellent reputation over the years. The classic blended Finest was launched on the market in 1910 and continues to enjoy great popularity until today: around 200,000 bottles are sold every day.
The whiskey ages for at least three years in oak barrels and absorbs important flavors and colors.
Nowadays the assortment includes a wide range of products, including special editions in chic gift cases.
