The founder Jose Maria Garcia was born in 1936 into a family of winemakers. He married Milagros Figuero, who also comes from a family of winemakers from La Horra. At first the grapes of the winery were sold to the best cellars in the region. Shortly before the turn of the millennium, the idea of producing and selling wine under one's own name matured. It is particularly important for the family business to focus on the experience of generations, work and sustainability. The first wine was produced as early as 2001. The Garcia / Figuero family can fall back on 80 hectares of their own vineyards, one third of which is more than 60 years old. A luxury that is reflected in the wines and is only available to a few wineries in the region.
