The family winery Quinta de la Rosa is located in Pinhao in the heart of the port wine growing region Douro. The Bergqvist family has been producing port wine since 1815 and the La Rosa winery was added in 1906.
The winery currently has 55 hectares of vineyards, all of which are in prime locations. These produce around 50,000 liters of port wine and 100,000 liters of wine annually.
Jorge Moreira has been responsible for winemaking since 2002 and relies on traditional methods as well as modern methods for the young red wine generation.
