The Dalmore distillery is based in Great Britain and is located directly on the Comarty Firth in the northern Highlands near the town of Alness. Dalmore means "great meadow" and stands for the unspoiled land around the distillery.

The Highland single malt Scotch whisky matures for 14 years in ex-bourbon casks made of American white oak and then rests for another 3 years in 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso sherry casks. In an upright sherry cask he then brings another year to finish its maturation.

The palate develops noble flavors of dark chocolate, candied citrus, full-bodied coffee, nutmeg and clove.
